If you are a cycling enthusiast, Bike Logs may end up being a really helpful application for you, since it allows you to record all the relevant details about your bike rides, no matter if you are a professional or an amateur, how frequently you ride your bike, or for how long. It bases its work on databases that store information such as distances, speeds, routes, and many other details.

Besides simply storing data, Bike Logs provides you with additional functionality. For example, it presents your saved records organized per month and per year, so that you can locate any specific log you are looking for easily and quickly. The program also lets you compare your logs in a visual way and see how the information has changed - for example, to check how your performance has improved monthly or yearly. In addition, you can filter your logs, and even study statistical charts that are generated automatically - using the information you registered - from among eleven types.

With a light and well-designed interface, Bike Logs offers a toolbar that provides one-click access to all the most frequently used functions. From here you can create, edit, and delete your log entries; access the program's general configuration window; filter your logs by bike, route, type, and distance; print or export your entries, and access the bikes' manager. This is a separate module of the program through which you can keep a detailed record of your different bikes, including information such as make, model, frame number, weight, specific gearing data, and even a picture.

When you add a new log entry, you are provided with fields for the date (current date by default), the type of ride (commuting, touring, or training), the bike used (which you can choose from your previously recorded set of bikes), for the distance, duration, climbing, average and maximum speed, the heart rate, the power and cadence, and a general rating for that particular ride. Moreover, you can specify a route chosen from a list of previously-defined ones - this module allows you to add new routes that you can identify with a name, and specify its distance, climbing, usage frequency, last used date, and some comments.

As it can be easily deducted, Bike Logs is an excellent program that any bike rider can use. Furthermore, it is completely free.
